Mexican American War - M. Sgt. 337th Inf. 85th Div. - WW I

He enlisting in the U.S. Army on St. Patrick's Day 1906. Then followed five and a half years of really "seeing the world", beginning with Columbus Barracks, Ohio thence to Ft. Riley, Kansas, to Monterey, Cal., to the Philippine Islands and finally to China. During the Mexican War in 1915 he saw service at the Mexican Border under General Bell. He was in the A.E.F. during World War I and served 13 months in England and France. In 1920 Sgt. Culver left the service and returned to West Virginia.
