Lawrence Charles Whitaker, he was known by L.C. or 'Whit' he was born in Sherman, Morgan Co.,OK to Charles Elmer 'Charlie' Whitaker and Kitty May (Cunningham)Whitaker and died in Phoenix, AZ from Lung Cancer. He married Addie V.Conaway-Benback on 6 Jun 1940 in Waynoka,Ok. They moved to AZ in 1952 for his health reasons following an auto accident. He worked as an Operating Engineer in road construction and belonged to Local 428 Union. He was survived by three daughters (Faye and Vioma of Mesa,AZ and Jan of Cheyenne,OK) and preceded in death by an infant son, Kennith Charles Whitaker. He married Arlene M. Larson-DeLoong on 15 Apr 1970, she preceded him in death in 1980, she is buried next to him.
