Curtis Merrill Mitchell, III, "Kirky" our beloved Father, Son, Brother, Grandfather, and Friend. Kirky will be reunited with his Dad, Curtis M. Mitchell, II who passed from this life into Heaven September 3, 2008. Kirky went to heaven at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Kirky enjoyed a full life with his family and friends. The youngest of three children he was born on July 10, 1961 to Curtis and Evelyn Mitchell of Mesa, AZ. He attended the Mesa Public School System until High School where he graduated from Marcos Deniza High in Tempe, AZ in June of 1987. Kirky continued his education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri where he followed in the foot steps of his older brother, Dwain. Kirky was employed by UPS for twenty years. He was a dedicated employee until his health failed. He received numerous awards for maintaining a perfect driving record, perfect attendance, timeliness, and he possessed a magnetic personality to bond with people and he made his customers feel valued. Kirky leaves to continue his legacy his beloved children; Mary Elizabeth Mitchell Escarsega, Beverly Mitchell, Tyrell and Curtis Mitchell IV, all of Phoenix, AZ; his loving mother, Evelyn Mitchell of Queen Creek, AZ; his older brother, Dwain Mitchell of Harlem, New York; his sister, Robin Williams of Aloha, Oregon; two grandchildren; Ajohnny and Darion Escarsega of Phoenix, AZ; nephews, nieces many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of loving relatives and friends. Services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 10:00 am with visitation one hour prior, at Tempe Mortuary, 405 East Southern Ave. Tempe, AZ. Entombment will follow the service at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ. We Love you Kirky."
This marker is located in the "N" section of the cemetery; on the East side of the "Center Feature Mausoleum."
