Her obituary reads: "Donna Gertrude Brinton, age 88, of Mesa, AZ passed away on January 16, 2013, in Tempe, AZ at Hospice of the Valley. Mrs. Brinton, a retired payroll accountant for the City of Mesa, was born in Floyd County, IA. She is preceded in death by her husband William "Al" Brinton. Survivors include two daughters; Bonita Lopez and Pamela Bejarano; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Her grandson, Tate Brinton, cared for her in the years prior to her passing. Donna dedicated much of her time to her family, the Eastern Stars, Rebekahs, volunteer work, and collecting. Mountain View Funeral Home, Mesa, AZ handled arrangements."
