Lee B. Quilici is a tale of two families; his blood family of Biancos and his adopted family of Quilicis, (Domenick Quilici)of Elko,Nevada. In short, Lee was born Lidio (LEE-dee-oh) Bianco (bee-ON-koh) in Italy in 1920. His family immigrated to the US in 1922 and settled in the fertile farming area around Merced, California, in the San Joaquin Valley. They worked as sharecroppers on farms owned by others, before finally saving enough money to buy their own farm.
