Note: Lester came to Arizona from Illinois in the early 1900's, together with his brothers Walter and Edward to assist their brother George in his freighting and livery business and ranch interests. He came to Prescott in 1905 and bought the Ruffner Funeral Home in 1906 from his brother George, and this business is now operated by his son, Lester II. Edward remained only a short time, then returned to Illinois. Walter was killed in 1909 in a mining accident at the Bluebell Mine in the Bradshaw Mountains. Lester remained in Arizona and was living in Williams, Arizona, in 1964.
