Note: He was born Lloyd Evans in Chicago, Cook, IL. and was placed for adoption with the Chicago Foundlings Home on 12 Dec 1896. He was adopted by Dr. George Wilder and Harriet Ellen Everett Appleby on 9 Sep 1897. He reloacted to AZ after 25 years with the John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo, Black Hawk, IA, in 1947. He was the manager of the Cottonwood branch of Northern Arizona Gas Co.

Lloyd Everett Appleby married Edith Eileen Rose on 10 Mar 1920 in Ft Dodge, Ia. She was the daughter of Kenneth Dexter and Martha Jane Minert Rose. Edith Eileen died on 8 Nov 1976 in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk, Ia., and is buried in Cedar Memorial Mauselum in Cedar Rapids, Linn, Ia.
