Born November 18, 1851 in Nephi, Juab County, Utah. Parents were JOSEPH LELAND HEYWOOD and MARTHA SPENCE. Married SARAH FRANCELLE COLEMAN on January 12, 1876 in Spring Valley, Lincoln County, Nevada. She was born March 22, 1860 in Pinto, Washington County, Utah, to PRIME THORNTON COLEMAN and EMMA BECK EVANS; and died February 13, 1937 in Los Angeles, California.
