SCOTT, JAMES - Navajo County, Arizona | JAMES SCOTT - Arizona Gravestone Photos

James SCOTT

Hangman Trail, off FR300 near Blk Canyon Lake Cemetery
Navajo County,
Arizona

D: 4 or 12 Aug 1888 (there is a discrepancy on the actual date) He worked with a nearby cattle rancher, Jamie Stott, and was accused of stealing horses. Historians believe a group of vigilantes lynched and hung Jimmy, with Stott and Wilson, from a single Ponderosa nearby to this burial ground. This photo taken Sep 2007.
