August Henry Hartman, 87, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on May 4, 2007. He came to Arizona over 60 years ago from Indiana for health reasons. August is proud of being a founding member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Tempe. He was also a member of the International Order of Foresters, an avid coin collector, and enjoyed square dancing. August's family will always remember him as a quiet, happy person with a quick wit and a constant smile on his face. August is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Janice Hartman, 2 sisters Mildred and Florence of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews in Arizona. Visitation will be on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 12pm with services following immediately after at 1pm at Green Acres Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in August's name to Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W. Northern Ave., Suite A-100, Phoenix, Arizona 85021.
