Urias Cantwell aka Presley Johnson
Jan 23 1853 - May 7 1930
Born Urias Cantwell in Newton Co Missouri. Assumed the name Presley Johnson in the 1870s after fleeing from the law in McLennan Co Texas.
Lived for many several years in the Kingston NM area, did a 5 year term in the NM territorial penitentiary after which he lived out his life in the Sanchez/Solomonville AZ area. An essay titled Urias Cantwell by David and Nancy (Cantwell) Hawk can be found in the Graham Co historical society library or on the New Mexico GenWeb site.
