Leonard was drafted into the Army in 1966, and completed Officer Candidate School training at Ft. Knox, Ky. He went on to serve his country as a 2nd Lieutenant, training troops to serve in Vietnam conflict. He was stationed at Fort Polk, La. for three years. In 1969, Leonard worked with Prescott Valley
