They were legal immigrants from Germany. He is the son of Claus Deitrich Umland and Dorothea Christiane Buck. She is the daughter of Peter Christoph Bruening and Aguste Wilhemina Von Glahn.
There is a scroll enscribed that says "together forever" on it.
They are buried off of 27th Ave next to the road on the south west side.
