rs. I. L. Ardis, the wife of Engineer Ardis of the Southern Pacific, died last Sunday after a short illness at her home on Eleventh street. The deceased was only 24 years old and leaves two bright children, a girl of four and a boy of three. The interment of the remains took place Monday morning, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. Mr. Rees of the Congregational church. The bereaved husband has the sympathy of a large circle of friends.

Sunday afternoon Tucson was much shocked at the news of the sudden death of Mrs. I. L Ardis, aged twenty-four years. Mrs. Ardis was a popular lady. She was in good health up to the Friday preceding her demise. She leaves two email children, a girl of four and a boy of three. Profound sympathy is generally expressed for the little ones and the bereaved husband.

Mrs. Crawford, a sister of I. L. Ardis, whose wife died the other day, arrived yesterday morning from her home at Downey, Cal. After remaining here a few days, she will return to California taking with her the two children made motherless by the death of Mrs. Ardis.
