Cecil Levan Honnas was born in a tent in a mining camp in the Swisshelm Mountains near Douglas, Arizona on June 2, 1907.
As a young boy he moved to Bisbee, then to Land Station near St. David where his family aquired land and cattle. During these
years he became a very adept cowboy. In 1916 his mother and stepfather moved to Sonoita, Az.

Cecil married Dottie Leona Moore in 1930, and soon after bought their first homestead.

Cecil had operated the Sonoita Garage, drilled water wells, drilled for a placer mining company in Sinaloa, Mexico, worked
for the State Highway Dept, and more. During these years, he and Lottie would buy more homesteads as finances would allow.

Cecil and Lottie lived and ranched in Sonoita, where they raised their sons, Raymond and Donald.

Cecil & Lottie were active in their local church, they donated land and the building to the Sonoita Bible Church.

Lottie Leona Moore was born Aug. 12, 1907 in Elizabeth, Oklahoma.
The only child of Ed Moore, and Ella Littlefield Moore. She lived
in Arkansas from infancy until 1917. Lottie's father had passed
away and she and her mother moved to Chandler Arizona in 1917.

She attended and graduated from 8th grade at Postvale, Az.
Elementary School (near Marana). She was in the first
graduating class of Marana High School in 1925.
She also graduated from Tempe Normal School in 1929.

In 1929-1930 Lottie taught all 8 grades at The Empire School
District north of Sonoita in Pima County. She then taught
during 1930-31 in Rillito the first and second grades.

During World War II, Lottie started delivering mail on the route
from Sonoita to Greaterville. She delivered the mail for many years.

Lottie married Cecil Honas on Dec. 21, 1930 in Tucson, Arizona.
They lived and ranched in Sonoita Arizona where they raised 2 sons,
Raymond and Donald.

Lottie and Cecil were very active in the Sonoita Bible Chruch, they donated the land and the building to the church.
