Headstone for William Ferris Pritchett. His is a single grave site that is located on the Good Hope mining claim in Walker Canyon (Yavapai), Arizona (AZ), and is on the property near where he was living at the time of his death.
William Ferris PRITCHETT aka Bill PRITCHETT died on October 5th, 1951 in Prescott (Yavapai), Arizona (AZ). His third wife Alma Jon CHUMBLEY PRITCHETT survived him as did his two previous wives Lydia Agnes SNYDER HARRIS PRITCHETT ALLRED and Ina Laurie FLETCHER PRITCHETT CASE. William's most common occupation was as a miner, but he also served as a railway trolley engineer and as a blacksmith.
The informant on his death certificate is his third wife Alma Jon CHUMBLEY PRITCHETT. His place of birth is Tuscarora (Elko), Nevada (NV). His father is James D. PRITCHETT, born in (Smyth), Virginia (VA) and his mother is Clara June CADY, born in (Walla Walla), Washington Territory(WA).
William Ferris is the first born of 4 children of James Decalne/Dekalb PRITCHETT and Clara Jane CADY.
The burial of William Ferris is also chronicled in the autobiography of William's only daughter, Lorrene Arilla PRITCHETT BYKERK. The service was private attended only by immediate family and William's best friend and he was buried on what was thought to be his land.
