98, died Friday, October 16 at Serenity House Hospice. She immigrated to this country from Copenhagen, Denmark to Minnesota then Arizona via Texas. She graduated with distinction in 1934 with a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arizona in Tucson and then acquired a Masters in Spanish Education in 1946. Mrs. Kelso, or Kelsito as she was fondly called by some of her former students, taught Spanish at Ray High School in Ray until it closed in 1960. She then taught at Ray District High School in Kearny until her retirement in 1972. She survived her beloved husband Ted and a cousin Selma Silvernail. Her nephews Dick, Duane and Douglas Bistrop of MN and Texas survived her. Her caretaker for many years Joyce Francisco and a a long-time friend and colleague Bill Sellars invite anyone who wishes to pay their respects to services which will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Kearny Friday, October 23 at 10 AM. Pastor Carol Hosler will preside.
