His obituary reads: "Ben P. Marshall, native Phoenician and former attorney with the City of Phoenix, passed away at home on Sunday, December 21, 2003. Born March 15, 1935, he graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1953. He married Lois Dodds McLain on October 18, 1958 to this union four daughters were born. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy, following his discharge he attended Arizona State College in Tempe, through 1957. In 1961 he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law in Tucson and became a member of the State Bar of Arizona. On June 28, 1989, Ben married Judi Price. He served as an attorney for the City of Phoenix for 33 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Rio Salado Sportsman's Club, Phoenix Rod and Gun Club and the Cactus Combat League. Other special interests included flying, woodworking, hunting, photography, motorcycle riding and traveling the backwoods of the White Mountains. Survivors include his wife, Judi; beloved daughters, Cindy (Bill) Cox, of Cave Creek, Lori (Morris) Brown, Jennie Marshall, and Kathy Marshall, all of Phoenix. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Ryan Cox, Shawn Cox and Ashley Marshall, his brother, Charles Marshall, two nephews, Edward and Andrew Marshall, all of Phoenix. He also leaves behind his "little guys" Brutus and Sampson. Visitation, Friday, December 26, 2003, 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., A. L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 West Bethany Home Road.
