Her obituary reads: "Marian Pearl Haws Pew, 78, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007. She was born on March 11, 1928 to Glenn and Pearl Haws in South Gate, California. She was a fun loving, quick-witted and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also spent 18 years as a dedicated school teacher in the Gilbert and Florence school districts. Marian is survived by her husband of 61 years, George L. Pew; children: Karl (Gloria), Marilyn Workman (Wade), Leo (Penny), Teri Rothlisberger (John) and Kari White (John); brothers: George Haws (Judy) and Dean Haws (Judy); 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Marian is preceded in death by daughter, Georgia Gayle Pew. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 12, 2006 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1500 E. 6th Ave, Mesa, Arizona with a visitation from 9-9:30 AM, prior to the services at the church. Also, a viewing will be held at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald in Mesa on Thursday, January 11, 2006 from 6-8:00 PM."
