His Obituary reads:
"Joseph A. Romano, 84, of Scottsdale, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005. He was born in Chicago, IL and served with the US Army in Europe during WWII. Upon retirement from Western Electric after more than 20 years' service, he relocated to Scottsdale in 1986. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nellie. Survivors include a daughter Marguerite (Mike) Volpert of Cadiz, KY, son, Chris (Gail McNeely) of Scottsdale, granddaughters, Dawn Hondros and Traci Winbun and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation 5 PM to 8 PM Monday, May 9th, at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Funeral Mass 11 AM Tuesday, May 10th at St. Patrick's Catholic Community Chapel, 10815 N. 84th St., Scottsdale.
